Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is known that silicon oxide (i.e. silicon oxide or silica) occurs at specific condition in electrical contacts, causing connectivity issues. There are many papers on silicon oxidization. Many of those are the studies on oxidization caused by arc discharge. When electrical condition is lower than minimum arc voltage, Joule heat is dominated contact resistance just before contact breaks (i.e. the real contact area is minimized). The previous report examines a generation of such a Joule heat. This report examines the thermal condition which causes siloxane oxidization. It attempts to understand what phenomenon would possibly occur in the contact area by examining oxidation phenomenon as chemical reaction.
