Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) High-speed wavelength-swept fiber lasers are used in a lot of applications. We have studied high-speed and wide-band wavelength tunable laser using a dispersion-tuned laser. The principle of the dispersion tuning is mode locking of a dispersive laser cavity. A high dispersive element is inserted into the laser cavity, and light in the cavity is intensity modulated for active mode locking. When the cavity contains chromatic dispersion, the Free Spectral Range (FSR) is a function of wavelength. We can choose the lasing wavelength by changing the modulation frequency. In this paper, we newly propose the models of analysis of the dynamic properties of dispersion-tuned lasers, and numerically investigate spectral changes due to sweep the wavelength.
