Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Multi-carrier transmission systems multiplexed with subcarrier signals are studied in order to extend the capacity of optical transmission systems. Shortening the subcarrier spacing enables high density multi-carrier transmission. In contrast, it decreases optical transmission performance due to the inter-subcarrier crosstalk. In this study, we propose a super high density multi-carrier transmission system by compensating the inter-subcarrier crosstalk with MIMO processing. Experiment and numerical simulation show that the proposed system makes it possible to increase the spectral density four times compared with one of commercial 50 GHz-spaced WDM systems.
