Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, the research and development about an advanced road traffic (ITS) system are done briskly. As a result, although the number of the whole traffic accident is decreasing, the rate of the cycling accident in the whole traffic accident is increasing, and occupies about 20% in recent years. Moreover, the sidewalk run of the bicycle was severe-punishment-ized by revision of the Road Traffic Law. The left-hand traffic of the driveway was made compulsory. Maintenance of the bicycle track is not progressing. 0.6% only slightly been developed for the entire road. Therefore, it is predicted that the accident by the car and a bicycle will increase from now on, and the necessity for the research on bicycle recognition is increasing. In this research, the multi-direction bicycle recognition technique in which the common in-vehicle camera was used is proposed.
