Abstract(in English) We report an optical design and a fabrication result of a lens coupling type fan-out for seven-core multi-core fiber (MCF). The fabricated fan-out consists of an MCF, a GRIN lens, a glass spacer and a microlens array. The size of φ2×30 mm was achieved by direct bonding of the optical elements. The insertion loss and the intercore crosstalk of less than 0.5 dB and -50 dB are expected to be achieved, respectively. It can also be applied to a non-hexagonal core MCF by changing a lens array design.
