Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Lithium air secondary batteries are actively researched as one of next-generation batteries due to their theoretical high energy densities. However, they exhibited poor cycle performance and large difference in voltages of discharge and charge. We attempted to overcome these problems by developing electrocatalysts for air electrodes and electrolyte materials. As a result, the batteries incorporating both RuO_2 electrocatalysts and DMSO-based electrolyte solutions showed rather low charge voltages.
