Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have proposed an electro-optic (EO) modulator using antenna-coupled electrode array and polarization-reversed structures for discrimination of wireless space-division-multiplexing (SDM) signals. By utilizing different polarization-reversed structures and multiple optical waveguides in the antenna-coupled electrode array, wireless SDM signal discrimination is obtainable. The proposed device was designed in the 60GHz band and the control of the EO modulation directivity in 4-chanel optical waveguides was demonstrated successfully for the first time as far as we know.
