Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The use of localized surface plasmons (LSPs) excited in metal nanoparticles have been mainly discussed in visible spectrum regions. In this paper we report a finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) analysis of LSP-like phenomena (spoof LSPs) excited in composite metallic and dielectric bodies with surface microstructures in the terahertz (THz) range. In numerical examples we demonstrate that the spoof LSPs at THz frequencies have physical features similar to the optical LSPs.
