Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A system which can support two-handed tasks with a healthy arm and a myoelectric upper limb prosthesis for above-elbow amputees has been proposed. A trained neural network with prepared motions with bimanual coordination can generate desired motion of the prosthesis in accordance with the healthy arm's motion. We used a optimal design method based on the Design of Experiments (DOE) and 6-layer neural networks to obtain the neural network learned bimanual coordination with high accuracy. We targeted at a task to lift up a tray with both hands and demonstrated optimal design and training of 6-layer neural networks.
