Abstract(in English) This paper compares the base station receiver structures between linear minimum mean squared error (MMSE)-based filtering and MMSE-filtering followed by the successive interference canceller (MMSE-SIC) in the non-orthogonal access in cellular uplink with regard to the system-level throughput. During the performance evaluation, we parameterize the number of base station receiver antennas and maximum number of non-orthogonally multiplexed users. Furthermore, we assume our previously reported inter-cell interference coordination (ICIC) methods based on frequency block-dependent transmission power control (TPC). From the simulation results, we show the superiority of the MMSE-SIC compared to the MMSE filtering only especially when the maximum number of non-orthogonally multiplexed users is beyond the number of base station receiver antennas, regardless of the number of base station receiver antennas and TPC methods.
