Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, a sparse FIR filter design method using PSO is studied. In the method, IPSO is applied. The amplitude response is approximated to a desired characteristic in a minimax sense, and a penalty term is incorporated in an evaluation function to obtain a sparse impulse response of FIR filter. If the zero value of coefficient is found among the global best, then the coefficient value in the same position is fixed to zero for all particles. Finally, we demonstrated the effectivenesses of this study by several design examples.
