Stabilizing unknown unstable periodic orbits based on stability transformation method and automatic adjustment of the control parameter

Abstract(in English) In this study, we consider an improved control method based on Stabilisy Transform Method. Stability Transform Method detects unstable periodic orbits of chaotic dynamical systems. Based on the approach to realize the Stability Transform Method in real systems, we have proposed a control method which can stabilize unknown unstable periodic orbits embedded in chaotic attractors. However, setting of the control parameter of the control system remained as unsolved issue. When an unstable periodic orbit of a target system is unknown, the control parameter has to be set by trial and error. In this report, we improve the control method with the automatic adjustment of the control parameter. We show an example of stabilizing unstabe periodic orbits of the 3-dimensional hysteresis chaos generator. Some results are confirmed by laboratory measurements.
