Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A novel equalization algorithm using overlapped fast independent component analysis (FastICA) is proposed and investigated for nonlinear polarization crosstalk (NPC). The algorithm is shown to provide better Q-factor improvement than conventional algorithms. Also shown are its advantages when used in the step prior to other DSP procedures.
