Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We aimed at lifetime improvement and driving stabilization for electrochromic display (ECD). We examined the driving method to reset the ECD to uniform decoloration state. As a result, the ECD was reset by extracting the same amount of injected electric charge, and it was able to improve lifetime. Next, we carried out a gray scale driving of the ECD. By comparing the pulse width modulation (PWM) and pulse amplitude modulation (PAM), we found that the best drivingmethod in coloration process is PWM by constant, current drive. In addition, we found that the best driving method in decoloration process is initialization driving.
