Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper studies the effect of TCP congestion control in a Web client on quality of experience (QoE) by experiment. In the experiment, the authors treat three TCP congestion controls, TCP Cubic,TCP Vegas and TCP Illinoi, and perform QoE evaluation for two actual Web services; they utilize satisfaction, which is one of the usability aspects, as a QoE scale for Web services. From the experimental results, the TCP congestion control in only a Web client can affect Web usability depending on a type of a Web service and network condition.
