Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) From the point of information sharing, especially safety confirmation, Social Networking Service (SNS) was reported to be effective in Kanto-Koshinetsu region at the Great East Japan Earthquake 2011, while mobile phone e-mail services were not. In this paper, first, we show that, by Named Data Networking (NDN) over Proximity Communication using user devices and base stations, the same application service can be provided as before the disaster even in the disrupted cells from the mobile core network. Next, assuming 10% of the people move between the shelters, we evaluate the performance of ChronoSync, a data synchronization application architecture on NDN, as a safety confirmation method during a disaster. Its performance with one minute synchronization interval is shown to be better than that of mobile phone email services in Kanto-Koshinetsu region at this Earthquake. Finally, we show that the terminal power consumption is about 30 times larger than that of a smartphone in a normal operation of the current mobile phone service, and that there is a big challenge to reduce this power consumption.
