Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The authors have proposed the vertical handover method between a narrower band permanent wireless connection such as cellular phone networks and wider band temporary wireless connection such as wireless LANs to realize seamless switching between heterogeneous networks using MDPv6 (Mobile IPv6). However, even if there are other connectable temporary wireless connections at handover, mobile nodes must connect to the permanent wireless connection once. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a new handover method between temporary wireless connections using the permanent wireless connection. The simulation experiments evaluate the maximum throughput to indicate effectiveness of the proposed method.
