Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Multi-hop wireless networks are considered promising and are expected to be more widely utilized in the ubiquitous network era. However, such networks that are based on the current wireless LAN techniques have a serious problem of information transfer throughput deterioration due to the electric wave interference. This paper presents a new MAC protocol for the purpose of solving this problem for a linear topology wireless network. The principles of the protocol are to avoid redundant information transfer and to reduce redundant time by deleting unnecessary waiting times for initiating information transfer and by synchronizing information transfer among different hop nodes. Furthermore, this paper presents some discussion on the evaluation results of the protocol to demonstrate its usefulness with some future potential extensions.
