Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a new high resolution three dimensional (3D) measurement system. When we try it to other application such as robot navigation, we will face to new problems. One big problem is that most of the real-time 3D systems special resolution is low, which will result in missing a thin object. We solved this problem by integrating one shot patterns projection stereo and binocular stereo which works complementary each other. One shot patterns projection stereo can detect smooth surface without texture, but cannot detect thin objects. On the other hand binocular stereo can detect thin objects and any 3D boundaries with brightness changes, but cannot detect surfaces without texture. So they work complementary. In this paper, we will show the basic idea and evaluation results of our prototype system. And we aim for speeding up binocular stereo for picking robot. by using the GPU and multithread.
