Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To apply the discrimination of EEG (Electroencephalogram) patterns by EFAM (Emotion Fractal Analysis Method) to BCI (Brain Computer Interface) has been actively studied in recent years. The electrodes are placed on the scalp of a subject with a conductive paste to measure EEG. On the other hand, a development of an electrode bringing its metallic pins into contact with a scalp is advanced to avoid using the conductive paste. In this paper, we examine whether the discrimination accuracy of around 70% will be obtained with using the pin electrode instead of using a conductive paste. The result was that the average discrimination accuracy of 67% that is the goal of this study was obtained from one of three subjects. Also, to control an electric wheelchair to change the movement of forward travel and stop was succeeded by the BCI with using the pin electrode.
