Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In previous our study, an automatic assist-mode selection system, which is based on the HR of the bicycle user, was proposed and implemented into power assisted bicycle. In this study, a method of threshold determination for the assist-mode selection system was proposed based on a Fuzzy control theory, and tested for five subjects. The result revealed that the proposed method, which alters the threshold according to the heart rate of the user in resting period, enlarged individual difference among subjects than conventional method.
