Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have developed a scanning SQUID probe microscope, in which a SQUID magnetic sensor is combined with scanning probe microscope. The microscope features the probe with high permeability used as a flux guide. We have taken the magnetic images of several types of samples with high resolution. However, it is required to improve its magnetic sensitivity. We investigated the flux guide characteristics through the probe from the sample to the SQUID by magnetic simulations. We also discussed the shapes of the probe and SQUID and their positional relation to guide the magnetic flux efficiently. The magnetic flux loss was dominant around the end of the probe. It is important to bring the probe end as close to the SQUID as possible, resulting in improvements of the magnetic coupling between the probe and SQUID.
