Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have demonstrated direct measurement of frequency comb signals in the terahertz-range (THz combs) using a heterodyne system. THz comb signals were generated by ultrashort pulse excitation of a dipole antenna-type photoconductive switch, and detected by a 600GHz-band subharmonic mixer composed by a Schottky barrier diode. THz comb signals, which had a spacing of 80MHz agreed with the repetition frequency of the ultrashort pulse train, were observed. Each component had a linewidth of 40kHz, which corresponds to the fluctuation of the repetition rate.
