Abstract(in English) | Studies of the future radio access which realizes wide-bandwidth and ultra-high-speed transmission have been reported. To realize the future radio access, where various cells are allocated and cell selection, inter-cell coordination, and radio resource management are flexibly performed according to user's situation, optical access techniques which cost-effectively accommodate the radio access are needed. In this report, requirements to optical access systems that support future radio access and mobile optical network are described and their future issues are discussed. |
