Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We evaluated a 1.3/1.55μreceivable ROSA with a waveguide PD. While the waveguide PD has wide electrical bandwidth, signal light needs to be coupled with waveguide with small spot size, which induces the variation of receiver sensitivity in 1.3/1.55μ bands defined by IEEE 802.3bg due to color aberration of optical system. We designed the lens with low color aberration, which suppressed the responsivity variation in 1.3/1.55 um bands less than 7%. The receiver sensitivity and overload for 43 Gbps NRZ signal with wavelength of 1.53μ were -9 dBm and +3.4 dBm, respectively, which are compliant with ITU-T G.693.
