| 抄録(和) | 方向性結合器は光電子集積回路を構成するデバイスとして広く用いられている.しかし,これら方向性結合器は一般に波長依存性が大きく,WDM伝送において問題となる.そこで,曲線方向性結合器が提案され,波長無依存かつ小面積,作製精度の緩和がシリカ光導波路おいて報告されている.今回この曲線方向性結合器を,Si/SiO_2光導波路において解析し,曲げ半径21μm,結合長7.40μmとすることで,波長1.5μm～1.6μmの範囲において従来の方向性結合器に比べ約3.3倍の波長無依存動作帯域が期待できる結果を得た. |
| 抄録(英) | Directional couplers are widely used as one of the key component of optical integrated circuits. However, the coupling ratio of the conventional directional coupler is highly sensitive to wavelength, and it degrades the characteristics of the devices that are consisted of directional couplers for WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) transmission. The curved directional coupler has been proposed using silica optical waveguide as one of the coupler which realize wavelength insensitive, small footprint and tolerant to fabrication. In this work, we theoretically investigated this curved coupler using Si photonic wire waveguide and got results that this curved coupler whose bending radius of 21μmm and the coupling length of 7.40μm can reduce the wavelength dependence and achieve about 3.3 fold enhancement of the operational bandwidth in wavelength range of 1.5μm-1.6μm compared with the conventional directional coupler. |
