Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, many e-portfolio systems have been introduced for student-centered learning in higher education. In this kind of situation, there are many universities that use Mahara, which is an open source e-portfolio system. As Mahara assumes that the series of activities represented by accumulated artifacts are summarized and exhibited on a webpage, it is insufficient for supporting student reflective learning and assessment activities during the learning process. Moreover, it is said to be difficult to operate. Therefore, the user needs to devise a practical way to use Mahara for reflective learning and assessment. The purpose of this study is to provide support for student reflective learning and assessment activities using their e-portfolios through the learning process. In this paper, the development of the functions was described, and then the usability of implementing it on Mahara was evaluated.
