Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report describes a system to monitor the IX traffic data from 14 different sites in the world. The system extracts IX traffic numerical data by the image processing of the graphical data displayed on each IX web site. The system also accumulate the numerical data for further analysis. For example, the system implements the traffic prediction system. The prediction consists of two steps. The first step is to perform weekly prediction based on the past one month traffic data whereas the second step performs adaptive correction based on the latest traffic observation. The system is useful to know the global network traffic at once on a web page. The traffic prediction method may be effectively utilized for the network routing control.
