Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) ID-based communication in ID/locator split network environments allows location independent communication, leading to several attractive functions, such as, data communication over heterogenious network protocols, mobility, and multihoming. However, using legacy socket applications in such new environments is still a challenge. To address this issue, this report describes design and implementation of a middleware enabling ID-based communication for legacy socket applications. The evaluation results show that the legacy TCP/IP socket applications with the middleware achieves similar performance in comparison with new applications written for ID-based communication.
