Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, we improved the rotating-sample magnetometer using HTS-SQUID for highly sensitive and reproducible measurement, and the moisture content evaluation was performed using the improved magnetometer. The measured magnetic signal from water became high when the elliptical coil was used for pick-up coil. Moreover, the cutoff frequency of the low-pass filter where the effect of noise caused by vibration of sample rotating component could be eliminated and the signal to noise ratio increased when a suitable cutoff frequency was selected. Using the optimized system, the moisture content of silica gel and rice grains were measured. As a result, the magnetic signals from silica gel and rice grains with various moisture content were correlated with the actual moisture content of each sample. Therefore, the developed magnetometer is expected to be a new moisture content evaluation system.
