Abstract(in English) We report the high-power 915-nm broad-area laser diodes with a window structure formed by the impurity-free vacancy disordering method. We have achieved a 15 W reliable operation of the laser diodes by optimizing the window structure. We also report on the optimization of the band gap difference between the window and gain regions.
