Abstract(in English) We developed high reliable and high performance FBT (fullband tunable) DFB laser modules. The adhesive bonding can enhance flexibility of the laser module design to improve the characteristics. However the effects of outgassing from adhesive have been feared. Our adhesive technology proved that the outgassing have no detrimental effect on the reliability of the laser diode and optical parts inside of the hermetic sealed package. Accordingly, lower power consumption and higher optical output power of the FBT laser module has been achieved by the module design through use of the adhesive bonding technology.
