Proposal of Few-Mode Multi-core Fiber with Air Hole Assisted Double Cladding Structure

Abstract(in English) We have proposed hole assisted double cladding multi-core fiber which can drastically suppress the crosstalk between cores and reduce the core pitch have. However, since the adjacent core region is almost contacted, further increase of packing density of core is difficult. Therefore, to increase the transmission channel in the multi-core fiber, we propose a few-mode multi-core fiber with air hole assisted double cladding structure.
