Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Nonreciprocal metamaterials that show positive refractive index in a direction of propagation and negative refractive index in the opposite propagation direction at the same operational frequency are discussed. The transmission-line resonator based on the nonreciprocal metamaterials is reviewed. It has unique characteristics in that the resonant frequency is independent of the resonator size and that the field profile along the resonator provides uniform magnitude distribution and linearly varying phase distribution. The resonator is implemented into beam scanning antenna and the antenna characteristics are shown.
