Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to examine switchable mirror effect of the Mg-Zn thin films, Mg-Zn thin films were deposited by alternate layer deposition of Mg film and Zn film by sputtering method. As a result, the MgZn_2 alloy did not function as a catalyst for hydrogenation and dehydrogenation of the Mg. The MgZn_2 alloy interfered with Mg becoming hydrogenation and dehydrogenation. Therefore, it was thought that the metal and alloy which hydrogen was in between atoms did not function as a catalyst for hydrogenation and dehydrogenation of the Mg.
