Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) is expected to provide a high accurate positioning service and allows two-way communication which includes the terminal position information and short messages. In this paper, SS-CDMA system performance with timing jitter among terminals is evaluated. SS-CDMA realizes the direct access from terminals to the satellite and many users simultaneous transmission using large spreading factor SS-codes. In order to achieve this objective, keeping orthogonality among all terminals is important condition. We propose a novel transmit timing control method in which all terminals are synchronized in time and frequency domains using QZSS. BER performances in 1024 chip SS-code and 1000 user multiplexing condition are shown. Each user is assigned 1 chip rotational shift SS-code based on an orthogonal M-sequence. 1/8 chip timing jitter can provides the performance with less than 0.5 dB E_b/N_0 degradation.
