Communication restoration at the time of the disaster using Resource-unit and cooperation with WINDS in-vehicle mobile station

Abstract(in English) We are promoting research and development in order to supply the ICT resource unit in which a communication function and an information processing function are implemented for disaster area to rapidly re-establish the communication between damaged area and undamaged area. In Disaster-tolerant ICT Research Symposium held in Sendai in March 2013, we used our IP-PBX developed for wireless LAN and smart phone to demonstrate that it is possible to supply telephone service between disaster area and outside the area by the satellite connection with the help of the large-sized in-vehicle earth station of the "Sakigake" (WINDS) of NICT. This report describes the concept of our proposed resilient-networking scheme and the demonstration result.
