| 抄録(和) | 地震や津波などの災害発生時,通信基地局や伝送路の損壊により被災地がネットワークから孤立状態になる問題がある.災害時に利用可能なネットワークの1つとして,衛星ネットワークがある.被災地に移動衛星局を配置することにより,被災地のユーザは衛星を介して外部のネットワークにアクセスすることができる.また,無線メッシュネットワークも災害時に利用可能なネットワークの1つである.被災地で生存している無線基地局を無線リンクで接続することで,被災地のユーザは複数の無線基地局をホップして外部のネットワークにアクセスできる.本稿では,衛星ネットワークと無線メッシュネットワークを組み合わせた衛星/地上無線メッシュ統合ネットワークに注目する.さらに,このネットワークにおいて地上に配置する移動衛星局数がシステムスループットに影響することを示し,適切な移動衛星局数の決定方法を提案する. |
| 抄録(英) | At the time of disaster such as earthquakes or tsunami, the communications systems on the ground can be damaged or destroyed. Satellite networks are one of the networks that can remain available after disaster strikes. By setting up an antenna for mobile satellite communication, the users in the disaster area are able to use communication services over satellite networks. Additionally, Wireless Mesh Networks (WMN) are also one of the available network at the time of disasters because it can be promptly deployed after disaster occurs. By using wireless connection of remaining mesh routers in the disaster area, disaster victims are able to use communication services through mesh routers. In this paper, we focus on satellite-terrestrial wireless mesh integrated networks that combines satellite networks and WMN. We show that system throughput is determined by the number of satellite base stations for mobile satellite communications, and we propose a method to decide the appropriate number of satellite Gate Way (GW) for mobile satellite communication to maximize throughput. |
