Abstract(in English) | This paper proposes a sensor collaborative beam forming method by adaptive transmission in which beam forming and collaborative transmitting sensor selection are adaptively performed according to reception quality of a receiving sensor. In this method, beam forming is used only in retransmission. Average Bit Error Rates (BERs) and Signal-to-Noise power Ratio (SNR) distribution in a receiving sensor are evaluated by computer simulation. The results show that the proposed method can improve the required E_b/N_0 for the average BER of 10^<-3> by 4.0 to 13.4 dB compared with that without beam forming. SNR distribution can also be improved by 5.8 to 19.8 dB at the Cumulative Distribution Function (CDF) of 10^<-2>. |
