Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) One third of traffic accidents are crossing collision. And 70% of them are occurred at the crossings with no signals. DSRC or 700MHz are being studied. However, they are mainly being developed for large-scale crossings. In order to develop the system supporting for prevention of no-signal crossing collisions, Zig Bee is adopted to realize the assistance for safe driving at a crossing, which is low-cost and low-power, and a driver can be noticed that another vehicle is approaching to a crossing by using the communication between vehicles and roadside units. Some experiments were conducted to report the effectiveness of the proposed method.
