| Abstract(in English) | In this paper, trends of mobile network and DOCOMO's effort for expanding LTE service are described. Due to becoming internet access schemes more diverse with a growth of Smartphone markets and richer contents, the traffic load on mobile networks becomes tremendous. In DOCOMO, we are assiduously expanding LTE service with enriching lineup of mobile handsets, increasing number of LTE base stations, and expanding LTE 112.5Mbps base stations. Especially regarding LTE coverage expansion, we are making an effort to improve LTE communication quality by deploying LTE Fem to base stations to residential areas, shops, and small offices. We are also planning to start LTE-Advanced service to offer much higher throughput to our customers. In addition, DOCOMO's public Wi-Fi service is also being expanded. We are improving user experiences with increasing number of Wi-Fi APs and hotspots, providing automatic connection by DOCOMO's connection manager and SIM-based authentication, providing higher throughput with IEEE802.11ac APs. |
