Abstract(in English) | Finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method has been commonly used in the electromagnetic field analysis problems. However, the time step is limited by the Courant-Friedrichs-Lewy (CFL) condition because of the unstable nature of explicit scheme. Therefore, when the wavelength of electromagnetic field is extremely larger than the voxel size, huge calculation time is required to obtain the stationary solution. To enhance the calculation speed by relaxing this restriction, locally one-dimensional (LOD-) FDTD method has been proposed as an implicit scheme which is unconditionally stable to any time-step. In this study, parallel computing technique with GPU is applied to the 3D LOD-FDTD method. The parallelized AMG method is implemented to the implicit scheme in the 3D LOD-FDTD algorithm. Furthermore, application of LOD-FDTD method to the dosimetry is investigated. |
