Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an efficient partial-scrambling scheme for palette-based images to protect copyrights and privacy. Most partial-scrambling schemes have been studied for full color images. We focus on palette-based images which is useful for narrow-band communications network and low quality terminals. Our scheme converts the representative color by using round shifts, and also control the intensity of scrambling using three parameters in the proposed scheme. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
