Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In general, memories which can be referenced by associative search will enlarge hardware size and extend delay for references in proportion to increase of entries. For this reason, very limited number of entries can be implemented as associative memories. Generally, to make effective use of the few entries, the associative memories will be used with replacement control for entries exploiting locality of references. In this paper, we discuss a technique that content of entries in associative memory which have very high locality of references are dynamically analyzed and identified. In addition, we consider feasibility of the technique that dynamically reconfigure the identified entries as constant circuits. The techniques would have a large increase in speed of references by using mechanism of dynamic partial reconfiguration which is implemented in recent FPGAs.
