Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have designed a custom accelerator of fluid computation in order to achieve efficient parallel computation with the building-cube method (BCM). In BCM, parallel computation is performed with cubes, which are computational lattice with the same resolution. Since all steps of the Fractional step method for in compressive fluid computation are given as stencil computations, stream computation can be applied for bandwidth-efficient processing. In this paper, we design a stream processor for in compressive fluid computation as the first step in our development of a BCM accelerator, and evaluate it through FPGA implementation.
