Abstract(in English) In this report, we propose a new color image quantization method for color images. In the proposed method, a vector error diffusion method and a quantization method are used. The vector error diffusion method is used for brief color reduction and to display the color-reduced image. Furthermore, various quantization methods are used to divide the color palettes reduced by the vector error diffusion method. Our work employs a popularity algorithm as well as median cut, k-means, and an evolving self organizing map for this quantization. We then compare the color-reduced images generated by each quantization method.
