Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Hierarchical voting, an extension of majority voting, is used to manage replicated data. Recently this method has been adopted by Apache ZooKeeper, a well-known software system. When using hierarchical voting, the availability of data varies depending on replica grouping and vote assignment. In this work, we investigate whether hierarchical voting can indeed improve data availability by evaluating it for every possible replica grouping and vote assignment.
