Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The Great East Japan Earthquake destroyed many medical center and nursing homes along the coastal areas in Miyagi prefecture completely. In this present circumstances a social care base needs to be rebuilt immediately. We are aiming to build the reconstruction of better infrastructure society instead of restoration of a mere medical institution. As an infrastructure of medical information welfare, we have developed Miyagi Medical and Welfare Information Network System. This system enables us to record, accumulate and pursue safe and systematic way of medical treatment and health information of patients and residents of any hospitals in any particular area, including clinics, pharmacies and nursing homes. Also it can function effectively as network base which carries out interconnection of the medical institutions in Miyagi Prefecture. In this paper, we describe the outline of the system, focusing on the network base, which makes the core of this system.
