Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a new routing protocol named Hierarchical Mesh-Tree Routing (HMTR) for efficient multi-hop data collection deployed in wireless sensor networks or smart utility networks (SUN). The proposed protocol achieves efficient multi-hop data collection by employing a special algorithm that suitably selects a routing path out of several candidate paths according to radio conditions among radio devices in the mesh structure. Computer simulations confirmed that the proposed protocol drastically improves the efficiency of data collection compared with the conventional cluster tree-routing protocol and quasi-mesh routing protocol that is proposed in IEEE 802.15.4m standard.
