Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The Quality of Service (QoS) represented by packet loss probability and delay may affect the Quality of Experience (QoE). Network operators design their networks considering QoS and its effect on the QoE, but the QoS effect on the QoE of IP-based services vary mainly based on the type of service. We focused on several major interactive applications, Web browsing including video watching and video games, and investigated the QoS effects on the QoE. We report the results of practical experiments and also indicate the network design policy in consideration of the experimental results. |
